An Externship in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is the basic training program offered to learn the foundations of this state-of-the-art therapeutic modality. It is a prerequisite for certification and follow-up advanced training in EFT.
EFT has been scientifically proven to work across cultures. To that end, we would like to incorporate a couple’s therapy training which allows clinicians to partake in the most advanced couple’s therapy approach, while also carefully navigating cultural nuances and implications related to providing adequate and ethical counseling for our clients living in Japan.
Qualification
*This workshop is for licensed and pre-licensed clinicians, and graduate students in an applicable counseling program.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
CEUs will be requested and available for an additional fee (USD40). Alliant International University is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. This workshop is scheduled to apply for Japanese Clinical psychologist qualification renewal points.
